The Board, in coordination with ETC, contacted the City of Alexandria’s Code Enforcement and the Transportation & Environmental Services (T&ES) Department regarding concerns about the failure of our storm drain system.

 

Last week, City staff conducted an on-site investigation, with a particular focus on the Keller Avenue area. During their inspection, they determined that a Dominion Energy power line had been installed through a storm drain, which caused the drainage system to fail.

To prevent further damage and erosion, Dominion Energy is currently on-site performing the necessary repairs under the supervision of the City of Alexandria. In addition, our engineering firm is fully informed of the work and will provide independent oversight throughout the repair process.
