First Leaf Removal of the Season
Posted on Nov 2nd, 2023
Next week Shenandoah will be onsite to do the first leaf removal of the season. If there’s no inclement weather then they anticipate completing this work on Monday, November 6. In the event there is inclement weather and they cannot work that day, then the leaf removal will go to the next available day. We wanted to emphasize to residents that leaves will be moved to the edge of drive lanes for removal with a truck and vacuum. During this process, portions of drive lanes will have leaves in the lanes for removal (not blocking an entire lane, just on the edges). We understand that this can be an inconvenience and would ask residents to be on the lookout for these piles of leaves as they are working around them.
There will be times where the actual process of removing leaves is complete from the turf areas, yet piles of leaves are still on islands, or on the edge of drive lanes. Please know this is due to the truck having to go and dump the hopper which is full of leaves. It is vary rare they will leave any piles of leaves on site overnight. The truck will return to pick up what is left. In some cases, with the time changing this weekend it could be at dark and they are still working to vacuum up the leaves. Please keep this in mind throughout the day that Shenandoah is working on leaf removal and allow them the full day to complete this service before placing any requests as they relate to leaf removal.
